Ingredients

For the Steak and Shrimp
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced adjust according to your love for garlic!
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped for that vibrant touch

Method

Preparation
  1. Before you dive into cooking, make sure everything is ready to go. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes and season them generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking the Steaks
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once it’s hot, carefully lay the steaks in.
  2. Cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare (or longer if you love it more well done). Don’t forget to flip them with a spatula like a pro!
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. Once your steaks are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a plate and cover them with foil to keep them warm.
  2. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed and toss in those beautiful shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and start to curl up.
Making the Garlic Butter Sauce
  1. Using the same skillet, reduce the heat to low, add the butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
  2. Stir until the butter melts and the garlic becomes fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Add the cooked shrimp back into the pan with the sauce, and give everything a gentle toss.
  2. Plate those gorgeous steaks and top them with the luscious garlic butter shrimp and a sprinkle of parsley. Voilà! An insta-worthy dinner is ready for your dining table.

Notes

If you’re feeling adventurous, try marinating the steaks for a few hours before cooking them—just a simple mix of olive oil, garlic, and herbs works wonders. Don’t worry if your sauce looks a little lumpy—it’s all part of the magic! Those garlic bits are flavor powerhouses. If you have any leftover garlic butter sauce, drizzling it over veggies or pasta is a delicious way to add extra flavor.
