  • 1 pound chicken breasts, diced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or your favorite hot sauce) Adjust according to spice tolerance
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • as needed sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • as needed chopped green onions (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, sriracha, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add diced chicken, ensuring it's well-coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir the chicken until fully cooked and golden brown, about another 5-7 minutes, achieving a nice sticky glaze.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot over rice or with steamed veggies.

Notes

You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar. This dish is also suitable for tofu or shrimp as protein alternatives.
