Ingredients
  

Cheese Ball Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped the tangier, the better!
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Coating
  • 1 cup chopped nuts pecans, walnuts, or your choice
Optional Garnish
  • to taste Fresh herbs for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended.
  2. Add the chopped dill pickles, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until all flavors are evenly distributed.
  3. Form the mixture into a ball shape.
  4. Roll the cheese ball in the chopped nuts until fully coated.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For picky eaters, emphasize the fun texture of the dill pickles. For nut allergies, substitute with crushed pretzels or omit. Spice it up with jalapeƱos or pepper jack cheese for added kick!
