Preparation
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the mini marshmallows, peanut butter, and butter.
- Stir continuously until smooth and gooey.
- Remove from heat and quickly mix in the powdered sugar.
- Pour the nougat into a greased 9"x13" pan and spread it out evenly.
Chill and Coat
- Refrigerate the nougat for about an hour to set.
- Once set, cut the nougat into bar-shaped pieces.
Coating the Bars
- Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each nougat piece into the melted chocolate and shake off the excess.
- Place on a cooling rack lined with parchment paper.
- Let cool completely until the chocolate sets.
Notes
Do not rush the melting of the chocolate to avoid burning. Adding a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer can enhance the flavor.
