These homemade Three Musketeers Bars feature a fluffy chocolate nougat wrapped in a silky chocolate coating, reminiscent of childhood treats.

Ingredients
  

For the nougat
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter for melting with nougat
  • 1 cup powdered sugar to mix into nougat
For the chocolate coating
  • 2 cups chocolate candy coating or melting chocolate

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the mini marshmallows, peanut butter, and butter.
  2. Stir continuously until smooth and gooey.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the powdered sugar.
  4. Pour the nougat into a greased 9"x13" pan and spread it out evenly.
Chill and Coat
  1. Refrigerate the nougat for about an hour to set.
  2. Once set, cut the nougat into bar-shaped pieces.
Coating the Bars
  1. Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  2. Dip each nougat piece into the melted chocolate and shake off the excess.
  3. Place on a cooling rack lined with parchment paper.
  4. Let cool completely until the chocolate sets.

Notes

Do not rush the melting of the chocolate to avoid burning. Adding a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer can enhance the flavor.
