Method
Cooking the Bacon
- In a skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon until it’s nice and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, place the cooked bacon on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
Preparing the Bread
- While the bacon cools, toast the slices of bread to your desired crispness.
Assembling the Sandwich
- Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
- On two slices of bread, add a few lettuce leaves followed by the sliced tomatoes.
- Sprinkle a touch of salt and pepper over the tomatoes.
- Place the crispy bacon strips on top.
Finishing Touch
- Top it off with the remaining slices of bread, mayo-side down. Give it a gentle press to secure everything together.
Notes
Use a serrated knife for cleaner slices. For a twist, add avocado or experiment with different bread types. If in a hurry, microwave bacon by placing it between two paper towels for 2-3 minutes.
