  • 4 slices slices of your favorite bread Think hearty and delicious
  • 4 slices crispy bacon The star of the show!
  • 1 cup fresh lettuce Romaine or iceberg, whatever you prefer
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced The juicier, the better
  • to taste Mayonnaise To spread the love on your bread
  • to taste Salt and pepper To enhance flavors

Method
 

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until they’re crispy and golden brown. Flip them occasionally to avoid sogginess.
  2. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel to absorb excess grease.
Toasting the Bread
  1. Toast the bread slices using a toaster or the skillet after the bacon is done for additional flavor.
Assembling the Sandwich
  1. Generously spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
  2. On one slice of bread, layer the lettuce, crispy bacon, and tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Top with another slice of bread, mayo side down, to complete the sandwich.
Serving
  1. For a touch of flair, cut your sandwich into halves or quarters and serve with a side of chips or salad.

Notes

For alternatives, you can use turkey bacon or crispy baked tofu. Consider toasting your bread in leftover bacon drippings for extra flavor. Choose ripe and juicy tomatoes for the best taste. Store leftovers separately to prevent sogginess.
