Method
Preparation of Dough
- In a bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Pour in the yeast mixture, followed by melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
Kneading
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Rising
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a warm towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
Shape and Fry
- Once risen, punch the dough down and roll it out to about 1/2-inch thick. Use a round cutter to cut out donuts.
- Heat oil to about 350°F and fry the donuts in batches, about 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer them to paper towels to drain excess oil.
Filling and Dusting
- Once cooled slightly, fill each donut with chopped Kinder Bueno chocolates.
- Dust generously with powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, fry a few donuts at a time for even cooking. Allow filled donuts to chill in the fridge before serving for a firmer filling. Drizzle with melted white chocolate for extra indulgence.
