Description
An easy and delicious Garlic Butter Steak and Prawn Noodles recipe that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite noodles
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- ½ lb prawns, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for an extra pop)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles by boiling them according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside. A little tip: drizzle them with a splash of olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Sear the steak by seasoning it generously with salt and pepper. In a large pan over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest.
- Sauté the prawns in the same pan, adding the remaining butter and tossing in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the prawns and cook until they turn pink, around 2-3 minutes.
- Combine everything by slicing your rested steak into strips and returning it to the pan with the prawns. Pour in the soy sauce and lemon juice, stirring everything to mix well. Finally, toss in the cooked noodles and give it one last good mix until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Serve and enjoy by plating up your delicious creation and sprinkling over the green onions and parsley.
Notes
Don’t skip the garlic for flavor enhancement. Be cautious not to overcook the prawns.
