Description

A vibrant and flavorful seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab, and sausage, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds shrimp (uncooked, deveined)
  • 1 pound crab legs
  • 1 pound baby potatoes (halved)
  • 3 ears of corn (cut into halves)
  • 1 pound smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (cut into wedges)
  • Melted butter for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients. Start by rinsing your shrimp and crab. Then, chop your potatoes, corn, and sausage.
  2. Boil the potatoes. In a large pot, fill it halfway with water, adding a generous pinch of salt. Once it reaches a rolling boil, toss in the potatoes and let them cook for about 10-15 minutes until they are fork-tender.
  3. Add corn and sausage. Bring the glorious bubbles back and add your corn and sausage to the mix. Let them simmer together for about 5 minutes.
  4. Spice it up! Stir in the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add seafood. Now, it’s the shrimp and crab’s turn! Add them to the pot, cover it, and let everything cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. Serve with style. Once everything is cooked, drain it and dump onto a large serving platter or a newspaper-lined table. Drizzle melted butter and sprinkle lemon wedges on top.

Notes

Feel free to add red pepper flakes for extra heat or mix in other seafood like scallops or clams.
