Preparation
- Get all your ingredients on the counter.
- Spread the butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer on the goat cheese, followed by the blueberries. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place the other slice of bread on top, butter side facing up.
- Flip the sandwich after about 3-4 minutes, achieving a golden crust.
- Cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes, applying a little pressure with a spatula.
- Remove the sandwich, slice it in half, and serve with extra blueberries on the side.
Notes
For cheese options, mozzarella or sharp cheddar make great alternatives. If you prefer a different flavor, use a balsamic reduction or honey. A cast iron skillet yields the best results!
