  • 1 medium head medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound pound of smoked sausage, sliced or your favorite sausage
  • 1 large large onion, diced
  • 3 cloves cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for extra spice

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped cabbage, season with salt and pepper, and cover. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize your sausage and add more veggies for variety. This dish keeps well for meal prep.
