Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional but adds spice
  • 1 whole lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method

Cooking Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Once it’s bubbling, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
Adding Flavor
  1. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir and cook for an additional minute.
Combine and Serve
  1. Squeeze the lemon juice into the skillet and add salt and pepper. Stir well to coat the shrimp in sauce.
  2. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve over pasta or rice.

Notes

This recipe can also be made with chicken or scallops; adjust cooking times as necessary. If the sauce looks lumpy after adding lemon juice, it’s normal. Add veggies for extra nutrition.
