  • 4 medium cucumbers Washed and sliced thinly
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar Can be substituted with apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup red onion Sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill Chopped
  • Black pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them thinly.
  2. Place cucumber slices in a large bowl and sprinkle with salt. Toss gently and let them sit for 10 minutes.
Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the white vinegar, sugar, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
Combine
  1. Drain the cucumbers and add them to the bowl with the dressing. Toss until well coated.
  2. Add in the sliced red onions and chopped dill, mixing gently.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding bell peppers or cherry tomatoes. This salad should be enjoyed within 1-2 days for best texture.
