Preparation
- Butter one side of each slice of rye bread for grilling.
- On the unbuttered side of four slices, layer corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and drizzle with dressing. Top with another slice of rye, buttered side out.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Once grilled, slice the sandwiches in half and serve with extra dressing.
Notes
For a milder flavor, reduce the sauerkraut. Optional extras like pickles or spicy mustard can add variety. Homemade sandwiches may appear rustic; embrace it!
