  • 8 ounces shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 item bell pepper sliced (red or yellow)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets for added greens
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional but enhances flavor
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for a nutty finish
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
For Garnish
  • to taste item green onions sliced
  • to taste item sesame seeds for garnishing

Method

Cooking the Noodles
  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Once they’re perfectly al dente, drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Cooking the Steak
  1. In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil if necessary. Toss in the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
Adding the Vegetables
  1. Add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and broccoli to the pan. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the veggies are bright and just tender.
Combining and Flavoring
  1. Add the cooked noodles back into the pan along with the cooked steak and shrimp. Drizzle in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Sprinkle sliced green onions and sesame seeds on top for the final touch. Dish out and enjoy your stir-fried noodles!

Notes

Feel free to add grated ginger for an extra refreshing twist. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop for the best texture.
