  • 1 pound Fresh strawberries The riper, the better!
  • 1 pound Mozzarella balls Bocconcini or ciliegine work great
  • 1 handful Fresh basil leaves For that aromatic touch
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • drizzle Balsamic glaze Optional, but highly recommended!
  • as needed Skewers Bamboo or decorative

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing your strawberries and basil. Pat them dry gently.
  2. If your strawberries are larger, feel free to slice them in half.
Assembly
  1. Take a skewer and slide a mozzarella ball on first. Follow it with a basil leaf, then a strawberry.
  2. Repeat until your skewer is filled, leaving a little space at each end for handling.
  3. If they start looking too crowded, just give them some space to breathe.
Finishing Touches
  1. Once all your skewers are assembled, arrange them on a serving platter.
  2. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

You can substitute mozzarella with a vegan option or use feta for a tangy twist. Add cherry tomatoes for extra color and flavor.
