  • 1 lb turkey kielbasa, sliced
  • 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and allow it to warm up.
  2. Toss in the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until they turn golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the sliced carrots and continue to cook for about 5 minutes, until they soften.
  4. Add the turkey kielbasa and let it brown for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage, smoked paprika, caraway seeds (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Serve warm.

Notes

This dish works well as a leftover, stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Feel free to substitute with regular kielbasa or other vegetables.
